Chapter 96: The Clot (ÓæÑÉ ÇáÚáÞ)

ÈöÓúãö Çááøóåö ÇáÑøóÍúãóäö ÇáÑøóÍöíãö
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

ÇÞúÑóÃú ÈöÇÓúãö ÑóÈøößó ÇáøóÐöí ÎóáóÞó

Recite in the name of your Lord who created -

[The Clot 96:1]

ÎóáóÞó ÇáÅöäÓóÇäó ãöäú ÚóáóÞò

Created man from a clinging substance.

[The Clot 96:2]

ÇÞúÑóÃú æóÑóÈøõßó ÇáÃóßúÑóãõ

Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -

[The Clot 96:3]

ÇáøóÐöí Úóáøóãó ÈöÇáúÞóáóãö

Who taught by the pen -

[The Clot 96:4]

Úóáøóãó ÇáÅöäÓóÇäó ãóÇ áóãú íóÚúáóãú

Taught man that which he knew not.

[The Clot 96:5]

ßóáÇøó Åöäøó ÇáÅöäÓóÇäó áóíóØúÛóì

No! [But] indeed, man transgresses

[The Clot 96:6]

Ãóäú ÑóÂåõ ÇÓúÊóÛúäóì

Because he sees himself self-sufficient.

[The Clot 96:7]

Åöäøó Åöáóì ÑóÈøößó ÇáÑøõÌúÚóì

Indeed, to your Lord is the return.

[The Clot 96:8]

ÃóÑóÃóíúÊó ÇáøóÐöí íóäúåóì

Have you seen the one who forbids

[The Clot 96:9]

ÚóÈúÏðÇ ÅöÐóÇ Õóáøóì

A servant when he prays?

[The Clot 96:10]

ÃóÑóÃóíúÊó Åöäú ßóÇäó Úóáóì ÇáúåõÏóì

Have you seen if he is upon guidance

[The Clot 96:11]

Ãóæú ÃóãóÑó ÈöÇáÊøóÞúæóì

Or enjoins righteousness?

[The Clot 96:12]

ÃóÑóÃóíúÊó Åöäú ßóÐøóÈó æóÊóæóáøóì

Have you seen if he denies and turns away -

[The Clot 96:13]

Ãóáóãú íóÚúáóãú ÈöÃóäøó Çááøóåó íóÑóì

Does he not know that Allah sees?

[The Clot 96:14]

ßóáÇøó áóÆöäú áóãú íóäúÊóåö áóäóÓúÝóÚóÇ ÈöÇáäøóÇÕöíóÉö

No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock -

[The Clot 96:15]

äóÇÕöíóÉò ßóÇÐöÈóÉò ÎóÇØöÆóÉò

A lying, sinning forelock.

[The Clot 96:16]

ÝóáúíóÏúÚõ äóÇÏöíóå

Then let him call his associates;

[The Clot 96:17]

ÓóäóÏúÚõ ÇáÒøóÈóÇäöíóÉó

We will call the angels of Hell.

[The Clot 96:18]

ßóáÇøó áÇó ÊõØöÚúåõ æóÇÓúÌõÏú æóÇÞúÊóÑöÈú

No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah ].
