Chapter 89: The Dawn (ÓæÑÉ ÇáÝÌÑ)

ÈöÓúãö Çááøóåö ÇáÑøóÍúãóäö ÇáÑøóÍöíãö
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

æóÇáúÝóÌúÑö

By the dawn

[The Dawn 89:1]

æóáóíóÇáò ÚóÔúÑò

And [by] ten nights

[The Dawn 89:2]

æóÇáÔøóÝúÚö æóÇáúæóÊúÑö

And [by] the even [number] and the odd

[The Dawn 89:3]

æóÇááøóíúáö ÅöÐóÇ íóÓúÑö

And [by] the night when it passes,

[The Dawn 89:4]

åóáú Ýöí Ðóáößó ÞóÓóãñ áöÐöí ÍöÌúÑò

Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?

[The Dawn 89:5]

Ãóáóãú ÊóÑó ßóíúÝó ÝóÚóáó ÑóÈøõßó ÈöÚóÇÏò

Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -

[The Dawn 89:6]

ÅöÑóãó ÐóÇÊö ÇáúÚöãóÇÏö

[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,

[The Dawn 89:7]

ÇáøóÊöí áóãú íõÎúáóÞú ãöËúáõåóÇ Ýöí ÇáúÈöáÇóÏö

The likes of whom had never been created in the land?

[The Dawn 89:8]

æóËóãõæÏó ÇáøóÐöíäó ÌóÇÈõæÇ ÇáÕøóÎúÑó ÈöÇáúæóÇÏö

And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?

[The Dawn 89:9]

æóÝöÑúÚóæúäó Ðöí ÇáÃóæúÊóÇÏö

And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -

[The Dawn 89:10]

ÇáøóÐöíäó ØóÛóæúÇ Ýöí ÇáúÈöáÇóÏö

[All of] whom oppressed within the lands

[The Dawn 89:11]

ÝóÃóßúËóÑõæÇ ÝöíåóÇ ÇáúÝóÓóÇÏó

And increased therein the corruption.

[The Dawn 89:12]

ÝóÕóÈøó Úóáóíúåöãú ÑóÈøõßó ÓóæúØó ÚóÐóÇÈò

So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.

[The Dawn 89:13]

Åöäøó ÑóÈøóßó áóÈöÇáúãöÑúÕóÇÏö

Indeed, your Lord is in observation.

[The Dawn 89:14]

ÝóÃóãøóÇ ÇáÅöäÓóÇäõ ÅöÐóÇ ãóÇ ÇÈúÊóáÇóåõ ÑóÈøõåõ ÝóÃóßúÑóãóåõ æóäóÚøóãóåõ ÝóíóÞõæáõ ÑóÈøöí ÃóßúÑóãóäö

And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me."

[The Dawn 89:15]

æóÃóãøóÇ ÅöÐóÇ ãóÇ ÇÈúÊóáÇóåõ ÝóÞóÏóÑó Úóáóíúåö ÑöÒúÞóåõ ÝóíóÞõæáõ ÑóÈøöí ÃóåóÇäóäö

But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."

[The Dawn 89:16]

ßóáÇøó Èóá áÇó ÊõßúÑöãõæäó ÇáúíóÊöíãó

No! But you do not honor the orphan

[The Dawn 89:17]

æóáÇó ÊóÍóÇÖøõæäó Úóáóì ØóÚóÇãö ÇáúãöÓúßöíäö

And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.

[The Dawn 89:18]

æóÊóÃúßõáõæäó ÇáÊøõÑóÇËó ÃóßúáÇð áóãøðÇ

And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,

[The Dawn 89:19]

æóÊõÍöÈøõæäó ÇáúãóÇáó ÍõÈøðÇ ÌóãøðÇ

And you love wealth with immense love.

[The Dawn 89:20]

ßóáÇøó ÅöÐóÇ ÏõßøóÊö ÇáÃóÑúÖõ ÏóßøðÇ ÏóßøðÇ

No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -

[The Dawn 89:21]

æóÌóÇÁó ÑóÈøõßó æóÇáúãóáóßõ ÕóÝøðÇ ÕóÝøðÇ

And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,

[The Dawn 89:22]

æóÌöíÁó íóæúãóÆöÐò ÈöÌóåóäøóãó íóæúãóÆöÐò íóÊóÐóßøóÑõ ÇáÅöäúÓóÇäõ æóÃóäøóì áóåõ ÇáÐøößúÑóì

And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance?

[The Dawn 89:23]

íóÞõæáõ íóÇ áóíúÊóäöí ÞóÏøóãúÊõ áöÍóíóÇÊöí

He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."

[The Dawn 89:24]

ÝóíóæúãóÆöÐò áÇó íõÚóÐøöÈõ ÚóÐóÇÈóåõ ÃóÍóÏñ

So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,

[The Dawn 89:25]

æóáÇó íõæËöÞõ æóËóÇÞóåõ ÃóÍóÏñ

And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].

[The Dawn 89:26]

íóÇ ÃóíøóÊõåóÇ ÇáäøóÝúÓõ ÇáúãõØúãóÆöäøóÉõ

[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,

[The Dawn 89:27]

ÇÑúÌöÚöí Åöáóì ÑóÈøößö ÑóÇÖöíóÉð ãóÑúÖöíøóÉð

Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],

[The Dawn 89:28]

ÝóÇÏúÎõáöí Ýöí ÚöÈóÇÏöí

And enter among My [righteous] servants

[The Dawn 89:29]

æóÇÏúÎõáöí ÌóäøóÊöí

And enter My Paradise."

[The Dawn 89:30]
